Memories of a nice lady with a lovely smile

Firstly I would like to say what a lovely idea it is to set up this memorial website to Bridget because it gives people like me a chance to say a few words as I could not attend the funeral due to illness and I felt bad about that. Let me tell you about my memories of Bridget whom I got to know in the late 1980's. I remember a lady who laughed a great deal and made me laugh too. She joined me on a Music Tour to the Czech and Slovak Republic on a couple of occasions and she throughly enjoyed the company of the pupils I took with me. She had a 'wicked' sense of humour as my pupils would say. She cared a lot about her family and she cared deeply about some of the struggles I went through in my own life. I always felt I could talk to Bridget openly about anything and everything and some times if we went out to lunch we would put the world to rights and other times we would talk 'girlie stuff' and just giggle. When my son died in 2004 both Bridget and Philip were very good to me. Both of them supported me through some really tough times previous to his death and I felt very held together by Bridget's prayers for me when he died. I know from the many conversations she had with me that found happiness with Philip over the last eleven years. One thing she was always really good at was sending birthday cards and letters and I shall miss those even though I am useless at remembering them myself We shared some nice times together and some fun meals together. She is gone but she is not forgotten by all those like myself who really knew her. Elzabeth and Tony
